Guided garden tour

Welcome to one of the psychedelic gardens I maintain… This time you get a guided tour! – and there is no admission fee

On a cool summer morning just when the sun is rising, wander as you please along the enchanted pathways softly illuminated by the dawn’s golden light.

As birds sing amid the foliage, they try to hide themselves although such long tail feathers are bound to be plainly on view! I think one of those magnificent tails might belong to a certain “bird of paradise” who seems to think he’s clever enough to be well concealed…but we know better… In fact I see some eyes peering at us. Do they belong to bird or beast?

On your leisurely morning stroll, you will observe various exotic flowers in full bloom, mysterious vines twining overhead, strange insects, and pools of clearest water in which the sunbeams are reflected in delicate hues…

Surely after so much exercise you must be famished. Lunch will be served at one of the little white tables along the way. Dessert will be garnished with some of those large tempting berries that have reached their peak of ripeness…

Every garden should have at least one large urn, and this is an especially grand one, wouldn’t you agree?

At the middle of the garden you will find small beds of flowers tastefully arranged in a square with more pathways surrounding them in a formal design…

Step into the center of the garden and you will discover a most peculiar tree bearing succulent fruit, something that can only be described as a cross between an apple, a peach, and a cherry… Help yourself and be sure to take some home…

The tree stands at the edge of a lighted pool…why, it must be evening already! How time does fly. That is why some areas of the garden are now in deep blue shadows, but the gloom sparkles with small twinkling lights, and don’t miss the elusive fireflies…
